Make a Cactus With Quinte Parents

Summer is here and we have been getting some perfectly hot and sunny days in the Bay of Quinte region! When it gets this hot we often need to take a break from the outdoors and keep our kids busy for a short cool down period.  Here is a craft you can do at home for one of those breaks.

What you will need :

  1. Glue
  2. Construction Paper
  3. Pink Tissue Paper
  4. Green Paint
  5. Toothpicks
  6. Bubble wrap

What to do :

  1. Cut your cactus shape out of the construction paper
  2. Paint the bubble wrap with the green paint (make sure to use the side that the bubble stick up on)
  1. Stamp the cactus with the green paint on the bubble wrap
  2. Decorate with the toothpick to be the prickles
  3. Scrunch up the pink tissue paper to be the flowers
