For twenty-three years Nesda Technologies Ltd. has been in business in the Bay of Quinte. It all began in 1995 when the company started working with a community care agency to develop a Client Management System. Today, Nesda continues to work closely with the Ontario Ministry of Health (MOH) and the South East Local Health Integration Network (SE LHIN).
Since day one Nesda has been providing onsite service and support, custom software and data centre services to its clients. This includes everything from manufacturing systems, a work order system for Ontario nuclear power plants, licensed assessments for the healthcare field through interRAI, a international collaborative that aims to improve the quality of life of vulnerable persons through a seamless comprehensive assessment system, to name a few.
In order to keep moving forward, Nesda is developing mobile apps – both for our own products as well as for their clients. In 2014 they built their own state of the art data centre which has been up and running and servicing clients, since December 2015. This moved them into the market of the Internet of Things, Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud Services and all other services related to data centres. They do all of this with less than 20 employees managing over 700 clients across Canada and in the US and they plan to continue developing more client relationships in those same markets.
After having gone through the QuinteVation/RevUP program, and now starting their second run-through, they fully believe in the vision set forth by QuinteVation and the Rural Innovation Summit is a big part of that vision. The region’s geographic area has so much to offer and the local businesses are serving the community in so many ways. By sponsoring the Rural Innovation Summit, Nesda Technologies Ltd wants to do its part to further promote future entrepreneurial growth and have an impact on policy change in rural environments such as the Bay of Quinte.
