The last month of summer brings new things to do and explore in the Bay of Quinte.

Why not kick off the month with some great food by the water? Join the poutine contest on Sunday as a participant or as a judge, or spend your time sampling this classic Canadian dish from a variety of food trucks and restaurants. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options will be available.

Filmmaker Paulette Moore invites you to a free film screening of The Eagle and the Condor. Enjoy the film, sample some heirloom popcorn and berry drink and meet the filmmaker!

The movie tells how in the aftermath of the 2016/17 Standing Rock action camps, Water Protectors rely on ceremony to resist the violence of resource extraction and heal the modern world.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Musical)

For all meat lovers out there Quinte West invites you for a fun, family celebration. Try your abilities in a team rib-eating contest or enjoy live performances by Ambush Friday at 8 pm, Cruisin’ on Saturday at noon or The Decades Band on Saturday at 8 pm. 

Show your support for local vendors and Big Brothers and Sisters of HPEC. At the festival’s entrance, $2 donations or $5 for a family of 5 will be collected, and 100% of the donations will proceed towards Big Brothers and Sisters programs.

Do you like your food spicy? Taste delicious dishes from over a dozen local restaurants while listening to Latin music. The doors open at noon and the judging ceremony begins at 3 pm. Can’t join the contest? Stop by the participating restaurants August 16 – 18 to try their dish!

Belleville Agricultural Society 

For the 198th time, the Quinte Agricultural Society brings fun activities for the entire family! Come and enjoy featured exhibits and fun events such as a Demonstration Kitchen, Little Ray’s Reptile Show and Livestock Shows. 

You can participate in Laser Tag, Horse Shows as well as Truck and Tractor Pulls! Enjoy Rob Waite’s Band, Quinte X-Factor, a silent auction and many other activities including food from local vendors.

2019 Summer Concert Series

Quinte West hosts live music performances Thursday through Sunday all summer long. Grab a chair or a picnic blanket and enjoy the show! Find the 2019 Summer Concert series on our events calendar.

Music in the Park

Brighton presents its’ midweek concert with local bands performing a mix of Celtic and folk songs, traditional Irish tunes, classic rock, country and more. Join every Wednesday at 6:30 pm on Main Street.
