The Woodsmen Trailer Review By Caitlin

Hello everyone, my name is Caitlin and for me, reviewing something categorized as horror was a little bit out of my comfort zone. Usually, I review Disney Channel movies and shows for my Youtube Channel which is basically the polar opposite to the horror genre. But I was so excited to see what all the hype around The Woodsmen was about that I had to watch it.

The first thing that caught my eye in both of The Woodsmen trailers is the cinematography. The landscape shots are so stunning that it caught me off guard. The fact that the film is all locally filmed is amazing and really beneficial to our region as it draws attention to the Bay of Quinte.

The movie definitely has great potential as there aren’t very many films about Bigfoot – especially ones where you get the chance to see the creature in full frame. I watched the teaser trailer before the extended one and what I liked about the shorter trailer is that they never show the actual creature. This gives the viewer a sense of fearing what they cannot see. This made the ending of the extended trailer that much more impactful because you really get to see bigfoot in full.

Overall this project looks full of potential and I really hope I’ll get to see it in full. The Kickstarter finishes this Friday and if they don’t reach their goal the film will not come to be, so make sure you check out their Kickstarter and donate if you can.
