The national segment, which will be published in the Globe and Mail in the week to come, lists readers picks for retirement regions and Bay of Quinte joins Crystal Beach, Sechelt, Nanaimo, Straford, Sarnia, and Brockville as picks as regions in which to retire.
“The designation speaks to what we all know and have been promoting,” states Bay of Quinte Living President, Adrian Bax. “The Bay of Quinte Region is a prime spot for retirees with our affordability, 1200 km of waterfront, our growing improvement to infrastructure, and our lifestyle. The rest of the country is beginning to take notice and we are proud of our work to do that.”
The Bay of Quinte Region includes Belleville, Quinte West, south Hastings County, Prince Edward County, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, and Napanee.
In the Globe and Mail, in a piece that showcases the upcoming articles, the title is Bay of Quinte – “Move over Muskoka”, a phrase that resonates with Ryan Williams, Bay of Quinte Tourism President.
“We love seeing growth in competition with one of our top competitors, and Muskoka, alongside Niagara, and Kitchener-Waterloo is one of those. Putting Bay of Quinte is a comparative position to Muskoka is a win for us, and we are looking to keep the pressure on.”
Look for more momentum to build, states Williams. Marketing with firm The Engagers, from Toronto, will continue to focus and build-out the 5-year marketing strategy that will see tourism, living, and business become a staple in marketing communication from organizations: Bay of Quinte Tourism, and the Bay of Quinte Living Council. The strategy dovetails visitation spend with population growth, and job growth marketing strategies.
