With Spring just around the corner (fingers crossed), it’s time to start thinking about that dreaded annual chore…That’s right.. Spring cleaning. Thankfully there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! The Quinte Home Builders’ Association’s Home & Lifestyle Show is the best way to shake those obligatory blues! 2018 marks the 47th year for this awesome local event. With an impressive 100+ exhibitors, this show is an excellent resource for homeowners, home builders and renters, even dreamers. There’s certainly something for everyone so come on down to the Quinte Home & Lifestyle Show April 6th – 8th at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre!

This year it’s all about local, with the focus on the Bay of Quinte Region. 🙂 Our little gem is so unique, and is quickly becoming the IT place to visit, live and start a family or business. With this being my home town, I’ve been very fortunate to witness HUGE growth in our community and watch all the hard work of local business owners pay off, creating a mecca for craft beer, locally made wine and fresh farm food enthusiasts from all over. That being said, this year has a very special guest, Chef Matt DeMille from “EAT with Matt DeMille” and he will be on-site showcasing his extraordinary talent. DeMille is a rock star in the culinary world. He has been accredited with the success of newly opened local restaurants and is a proud resident of the region. And if that’s not enough to curve your weekend plans, there are a couple more superstars joining the roster. HGTV Canada’s Sarah Keenleyside and Brian McCourt from the HGTV’s “Backyard Builds” will be front and centre to chat, demonstrate and answer questions that you may have about your own home projects. Sarah Keenleyside is a renowned designer who has lived and travelled extensively abroad which has influenced her eclectic sensibility and fuelled her desire to design in a style that is uniquely her own. Sarah pulls inspiration from various cultures and design styles, she gives her clients an environment tailored to their individuality.
Keenleyside’s co-host Brian McCourt is a contractor, design expert and real estate flipper. With over 13 years of experience as a renovation specialist, Brian has unique concepts and a full understanding of the home renovation process. Brian’s skill set, knowledge of building products, and creative mind make him a true asset to the world of renovations. It’s pretty exciting to have them here for the Quinte Home & Lifestyle Show!

Also joining in on the fun is local celeb and philanthropist John-Ross Parks from Parks Group/Royal LePage.
