Quinte West Marina to make Waves

A new marina in Quinte West, the Trent Port Marina is set to open in 2015 and will make waves in the boating industry in the Bay of Quinte Region.

The 380 slip marina, with 56 transient slips, and 324 seasonal slips will service boaters on the Bay of Quinte, and down the Trent-Severn Waterway system.

The marina will be connected by footpaths to downtown Trenton, Quinte West City Hall (and public library),

The heart of the marina will be the the 550 sq m Marina Building.  The state-of-the art building will offer boater washrooms, laundry, and lounge, a public gathering hall, and covered external patios.

Economically, the marina will serve as a major economic boost to Quinte West and downtown Trenton.  The market feasibility study that was undertaken for the project estimated total economic impact of $5.4 million during the construction year, and $2.2 million (increasing annually) during the operational years.

The marina will also serve as a major hub for the Bay of Quinte Region, connecting boaters from the Trent-Severn, Murray Canal to Wellington and Brighton, and to Belleville.
